Terms & Conditions
Lares Petsitting provides professional in-home pet sitting services in the San Diego area. By booking our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Notice to cancel for a deposit refund
Booking and Payment
A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking. The deposit applies to the total cost of your sit. Payment for the remaining balance is due before the sit begins. If payment is late, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and keep the deposit.
Pricing
Standard overnight pet sitting is $125 per night. Holiday rates (e.g., Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, and other major holidays) are $140 per night.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made 7 days or more before the sit receive a full refund of the deposit. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the sit forfeit the deposit entirely. If you need to reschedule, contact us as soon as possible to discuss available dates.
Pet Care and Safety
Lares Petsitting provides professional, loving care for your pets in your home. Your pets will receive all feeding, medication, and exercise routines you provide. Our sitter is a California-registered veterinary technician and will treat your pets with the highest standard of care. If your pet has a medical emergency during the sit, we will contact your veterinarian and you immediately. We are not responsible for pre-existing injuries, illnesses, or medical conditions, including any that flare up or worsen during the sit. Please tell us about all known health issues before your pet’s stay. All pets must be up-to-date on vaccinations, and we may ask for proof before the sit begins.
Pet Behavior and Aggression
You must disclose any history of biting, snapping, or aggressive behavior during the meet-and-greet. If your pet shows aggression, biting, or dangerous behavior during the sit, we may end the sit early and contact you immediately. The deposit is forfeited in this case. We reserve the right to refuse service if we feel the pet or home situation poses a safety risk to us or the pet.
Home Access and Security
We respect your home and privacy. We will not go through personal items or allow anyone else to enter your home. You must disclose if you have security cameras inside or outside your home and whether they will be on during the sit. At the time of the meet-and-greet, you must provide us with all necessary access information, including spare keys, garage door remotes, security codes, alarm codes, and any other access tools we need to enter your home safely and securely. We may ask to use your WiFi during the sit. We will lock all doors and windows when we leave. We will keep your home clean and tidy during our visits.
Damage and Liability
You are responsible for any damage to our property or vehicle during the sit. We are not responsible for lost or damaged items in your home, but we take reasonable care to protect your belongings. By booking, you agree that Lares Petsitting is not liable for accidents, injuries, behavioral issues, or loss of pets that occur despite reasonable care and vigilance. If your pet becomes ill or injured during the sit, we will seek immediate veterinary care at your expense.
Photos and Social Media
We take daily photos and videos of your pets during the sit and send them to you as updates. We may reuse these photos and post them on our social media only if you consent. We never share your address or location in any photos or posts.
Communication
You can reach us by phone or text during your pet’s sit. We will check in daily with updates. We are available to answer questions about your pets’ care and routine.
Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason, including if we feel the booking or situation poses a risk to our safety, your pets’ safety, or our ability to provide quality care.
